Violeta Garcia & Hora Lunga
Violeta García, an Argentinian cellist known for her solo work and
for her role in the punk band Blanco Teta, brings the instrument
close to the body, as melody, pressure, texture, noise and sudden
emotional weight. García has brought her distinct musical voice
to KEXP, Rewire, Le Guess Who?, Bad Bonn Kilbi, Silent Green,
TransMusicales, Roskilde and more.
Hora Lunga, a Zurich-based producer and composer working
across unstable song forms, treats electronics less as a frame than
as a weather system: something that can hold a scene together,
distort it or make it disappear. In recent years, his compositions
have ranged from experimental song forms, sound performances,
ensemble compositions and film music. His ensemble WIRREN
consists of up to fifteen performers.
